The accident was reported at 1:20 p.m. on Pacific Coast Highway and Seapoint according to MetroNet, a fire dispatch service.

Three people were injured according to MetroNet. Huntington Beach Police indicated that the injuries were minor.

The vehicle smashed through a fence and hit a pile of rings used to contain beach fires.

Greg Bolyard, an onlooker, said he ran to the crash site and tried to remove the driver.

“I crawled through the back window … after trying to calm her (the driver) down. Another citizen nearby handed me a pocket knife so I could cut her out of the seatbelt to free her from the vehicle,” Bolyard said.

The driver lost control of the vehicle, according to witnesses, but not arrests or citations were issued.
