A man faces charges on suspicion of drunk driving after he crashed his Corvette into another car on Friday night and killed one person.

The crash occurred at about 7:15 p.m. on Friday on Alondra Boulevard near McNab Avenue when the driver of the Corvette slammed his car into an SUV.

A 42-year-old woman was ejected from the SUV and pronounced dead at the scene. The 20-year-old daughter of the woman and her granddaughter were taken to a local hospital.

The child was released but the mother was still being treated for injuries.

The driver of the Corvette, John Rice,39, was under the influence of alcohol on the time of the crash.

Rice’s father was also in the Corvette. He was treated for minor injuries.
