Big Rig Overturns Near Fresno

A big rig crashed and then overturned on Wednesday night near Los Banos. The driver was critically injured, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Interstate 5 towards to eastbound Highway 152. The truck driver was apparently traveling excessively fast on a highway on-ramp when he lost control of his vehicle and it crashed. It blocked the ramp and the eastbound lanes of the freeway.

He suffered major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. The crash is still under investigation.
