Two big-rigs and two cars collided early this morning on Interstate 5 in Sacramento. The accident, which happened a little after 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Pocket Road, forced closure of all southbound lanes, News10 KXTV reports.

According to the news story, a tanker truck, a hauler, a Honda and another car collided in the accident. The drivers of the big-rigs were reported as injured, but those injuries are described as non-life threatening. California Highway Patrol said the driver of the Honda had suffered life-threatening injuries, and was taken to the hospital. The driver of the fourth vehicle was not injured in the crash.

News10 KXTV reports that no information was available on the cause of the collision, but according to officers, the rain didn’t help matters.
