BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 5, 2022) – Early in the afternoon on Tuesday in Bakersfield, a collision with a vehicle killed a bicyclist. The January 4 crash occurred close to where S Street and California Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly 12:28 p.m., Bakersfield Police said.
No details have been reported on how the crash happened, including the line of travel of the vehicles when the crash occurred.
Responders arrived to help, but the bicyclist died at the crash site. His identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The driver remained at the crash site and cooperated with investigators. The identity of the driver has also not been reported.
