Three-Vehicle Crash Causes Delays Near Bay Bridge Toll Plaza
OAKLAND, CA (May 8, 2025) — A three-vehicle collision early Thursday morning disrupted westbound traffic on the I-80 Freeway near the entrance to the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge toll plaza, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 5:54 a.m. on May 8, involving a blue Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, a gray Nissan Altima sedan, and a utility truck.
Authorities Arrived at the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza Following The Crash
Emergency responders, including an ambulance and tow truck, were dispatched to the scene. At least one individual reported pain following the incident, prompting medical evaluation. The damaged Nissan was towed from the freeway to clear the traffic lanes.
CHP investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the crash at the Bay Bridge toll plaza. Further details regarding injuries or potential citations were not immediately available.
