The incident transpired at approximately 10:50 p.m., as reported by local authorities. The young girl was struck by a vehicle in the 900 block of Union Avenue. The circumstances surrounding the accident remain unclear. Tragically, at the time of the incident, the teenager was not within a designated crosswalk, attempting to cross Union Avenue.
Even more distressing is that the driver, described by authorities as driving a red sedan, did not stop to offer assistance but instead fled the scene. The hit-and-run left the victim in critical condition, prompting a swift response from paramedics who transported her to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
