SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (October 17, 2022) – Late in the morning on Sunday in Arden-Arcade, five vehicles collided, killing two people and injuring others. The October 16 crash occurred in the vicinity of Hallmark Drive and Howe Avenue.

The time was roughly a little before 10:00 a.m., Sacramento Metro Fire said.

No details have been reported on how the crash happened, nor the sequence that affected each of the five vehicles.

The line of travel of each vehicle prior to colliding has not been reported, and the vehicles have not been described.

Responders arrived and found a major wreck at the crash site, reports say.

Responders pronounced two people deceased in the crash.

The identities of the people who died, including their names, ages, genders, and cities of residence, have not been reported.

Responders transported four people to the hospital. The types of injuries the people suffered are not known.

None have been identified.

Three people involved in the crash were treated by responders at the crash site and released, according to reports.

The three people have also not been identified.

Investigators are working to understand the crash and its causes.
