SAN DIEGO, CA (September 27, 2022) – Early in the evening on Friday in San Diego, a woman was struck and killed in the area of Talmadge by a hit-and-run driver. The September 23 crash occurred on El Cajon Boulevard in the 5000 block.
The time was a little after 7:00 p.m., police said.
The woman was walking across El Cajon Boulevard, according to police, and a vehicle–described as a Toyota Camry–struck and killed her.
The person who was driving the car did not stop to help the victim, but fled the crash site.
Responders found the woman was killed at the crash site.
She was identified only as in her fifties. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
In order to understand the crash, and to locate the vehicle involved in the crash and the suspect hit-and-run driver, investigators are gathering information.
