SAN DIEGO, CA (February 24, 2022) – Jeff Sutch was identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner as the UPS truck driver who was killed in a crash on Tuesday night in San Diego. The February 22 crash occurred on I-15 in the area of Mission Valley, close to Interstate 8.
According to authorities, Sutch was driving a semi truck when the vehicle went out of his control on the rain-slicked roadway. The truck slid in a fishtail movement, overturned, and came to a stop on the freeway’s shoulder.
Responders arrived and pronounced Sutch deceased at the crash site. Sutch was a resident of Santee, 51 years old.
Investigators are continuing their work on the incident.
