LOS ANGELES, CA (November 30, 2021) – Early in the morning on Sunday in Los Angeles, a bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash. The November 28 crash occurred in the area of Harbor Gateway, where Alondra Boulevard and Vermont Avenue intersect.

The time was roughly 2:40 a.m., Los Angeles Police said.

The bicyclist had been traveling on Alondra Boulevard and heading west, according to police. A vehicle, which had been heading north on Vermont Avenue, struck him. The driver did not remain at the crash site or help the victim.

Responders arrived to help, but the victim died at the crash site. He was identified only as 39 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the crash, and the suspect hit-and-run driver; neither has been described.
