A crash between a bus and a car, sending the bus crashing into a home, injured 11 people Friday. The bus was a Bay Area commuter bus.
The car, which was stolen, according to what the Richmond police told the San Francisco Chronicle, was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with the AC Transit bus. The crash caused the b us to be sent into a home that was occupied by a mother and her two children.
The mother and her two children were taken to the hospital after receiving minor injuries, according to the police report.
According to the Contra Costa Times, the bus narrowly missed hitting a three-month-old baby who was sitting in the living room in a bouncy chair.
Eight people, including the bus driver, were hurt. None of the injuries were serious, according to an ABC7 news report.
The driver of the stolen car is still being sought. The driver fled the scene after the car crash. The names and ages of those injured in the crash have not been released by police. The identity of the driver is also unknown.
