Heavy Morning Traffic on State Route 85 Near Camden Avenue After Three-Vehicle Crash
SAN JOSE,CA (July 2, 2025)— A three-vehicle collision disrupted the Wednesday morning commute on northbound State Route 85 near Camden Avenue, blocking multiple lanes and prompting a major emergency response, authorities said.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:23 a.m. on July 2, according to the California Highway Patrol. All three involved vehicles were left disabled across lanes 1 through 3, creating significant traffic delays during peak commute hours.
A Chevy Silverado and 2 Honda Civics Sustained Significant Damage
Among the vehicles involved was a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that overturned onto its side. Two Honda Civic sedans also sustained major damage in the incident.
Emergency crews, including paramedics and tow trucks, responded quickly to the scene. The #1 lane remained blocked for a time as crews worked to clear the wreckage. To alleviate congestion, the slow lane was temporarily opened as a detour. At least one individual was transported for medical care, though officials have not yet disclosed the extent of injuries.
Traffic On SR-85 Started To Clear Up After 10:00 AM
Traffic was fully restored around 10:01 a.m., but not before long backups formed along the northbound lanes of SR-85.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to contact the California Highway Patrol’s San Jose Area Office.
