San Jose Crash Kills Elderly Pedestrian Near Coyote Creek

SAN JOSE, CA (January 29, 2025) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed in a traffic accident in San Jose on Wednesday morning as 86-year-old Florence Taylor.

According to the San Jose Police Department, the fatal collision occurred around 6:34 a.m. on January 29 at the intersection of Sherlock Drive and Kimball Drive, near Coyote Creek. Officials say Taylor was walking along the street when a black 2004 GMC SUV struck her.

Florence Taylor Succumbed To Her Injuries at a Nearby Hospital

Emergency responders transported Taylor to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office confirmed her identity.

The male driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
