Two People Dead after Wrong Way Driver Crashes in San Bernardino

An accident on Interstate 15 on Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. left two people dead after an 85-year-old woman drove the wrong way and crashed head on into another vehicle.

The wrong way driver was traveling north in her 2007 Toyota Corolla near the Bear Valley Road onramp when she hit a 1993 Cadillac Eldorado at about 70 miles per hour. The Eldorado swerved into a third car.

The driver of the Eldorado, a 67-year-old Hesperia resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died of her injuries.

The driver of the third car was not injured. He was visiting San Bernardino from Tennessee.
