SAN DIEGO, CA (August 30, 2021) – Early in the morning on Saturday in San Diego, a woman who was struck by three vehicles died from her injuries. The August 28 crashes occurred in the area of Mission Bay Park, on Ingraham Street in the 2500 block.

The time was roughly 4:15 a.m., according to Tony Martinez. Martinez is an officer with San Diego Police.

According to Martinez, the pedestrian had not been within a crosswalk when the first vehicle struck her. After the first vehicle struck, two subsequent vehicles struck the woman, and her body was dragged in the roadway.

Responders arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the crash site. She was identified only as 34 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.

The person who had been driving the first vehicle remained at the crash site. He was identified only as 24 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.

The two other drivers of the second and third vehicles to hit the woman fled the crash site. Neither the vehicles nor the drivers have been described.
