Two people were arrested for driving under the influence by the Garden Grove police at a DUI checkpoint on Saturday.

692 vehicles were screened at the checkpoint and at least ten people received citations for driving without a license or with a suspended license. The checkpoint was set up at 12555 Valley View Street.

The police department impounded the two vehicles after taking in their drivers. They will remain impounded for 30 days.

The Garden Grove Police Department said that the checkpoint was made possible by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety and that many more will be conducted throughout the year.
