A collision between a vehicle and a Metro train injured six people on Saturday afternoon in downtown Los Angeles, according to KTLA.

The accident occurred at about 4:20 p.m. near the intersection of Venice Boulevard and Flower Street.

The driver of a black sedan crossed the intersection while he had a red light and the train hit the vehicle, according to witnesses.

The Blue Line train was headed towards Long Beach at the time of the crash, according to the train’s schedule.

The driver was trapped under the train and had to be cut from the vehicle by firefighters.

There were five other people in the sedan at the time of the accident. They all suffered minor injuries and were treated at local hospitals.

The train operator also suffered minor injuries and abrasions.

Train operators expected delays throughout Saturday into the evening as crews worked to fix the damage.
