Singer Bobby Brown was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence for the second time this year early Wednesday morning in Tarzana.

According to police reports, the 43 year old singer was pulled over at around 1 a.m. near Corbin Avenue and Topanga Canyon after officers observed him driving erratically. He was administered a field sobriety test and promptly failed. He was then booked at the LAPD Valley Jail in Van Nuys and released a few hours later after posting the $25,000 bail.

The arrest comes just a few months after Brown reportedly checked himself into a rehabilitation center for alcohol abuse issues, which he has been battling for many years. Prior to this incident, his wife had reported that Brown was doing well in rehab, though she would not discuss the particulars of his treatment.

He was previously arrested for driving under the influence in March, where he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge was sentenced to three years and a day of probation. He was also fined $390 dollars and ordered to attend a 90-day alcohol education program.

He was also convicted of a DUI in Georgia in 1996.

Brown is now likely to face a more serious punishment for this DUI related ordeal, considering he was still on probation at the time of the arrest.

Famous singer or not, it is never worth the risk of driving under the influence of alcohol. Brown is lucky that his erratic driving did not result in an accident, inflicting serious or even fatal damage upon himself or other motorists on the road.
