Self driving cars are on the streets near Silicon Valley. This is the first time the cars have been allowed on public streets.
Google introduced the cars last year.
The cars drive around 25 miles per hour.
The cars work without steering gear and brakes.
There will be room for a human person to ride in the cars. Google hopes to have the cars in the main stream of traffic in 10 years.
Earlier versions of the cars have been in 13 accidents through 1.8 million miles driven.
Google says these accidents were caused by other vehicles.
