San Diego Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Oak Park Area

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 15, 2022) – Early in the morning on Thursday in San Diego, a pedestrian was struck and killed. The July 14 crash occurred in the neighborhood of Oak Park, on 54th Street in the 3000 block.

The time was roughly 4:30 a.m., Dave O’Brien said. O’Brien is an officer with San Diego Police.

According to authorities, the pedestrian was struck in the road by a vehicle–described as a Dodge Journey–that had been going south on 54th Street.

Responders pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the crash site. The identity of the victim, including his name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.

The person who has driving the vehicle remained at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation.

The driver was identified only as 34 years old. His name and city of residence have also not been reported.

Investigators are continuing to collect information and details about the crash.
