Pedestrian Struck and Killed at Rosemead Blvd. in Whittier Narrows
WHITTIER, CA (January 17, 2022) – Early in the evening on Sunday in Whittier Narrows, a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian. The January 16 crash occurred where Durfee Avenue and Rosemead Boulevard intersect.
The time was roughly a little before 6:00 p.m., Officer Brandt said. Brandt is with the California Highway Patrol.
No details have been reported on exactly where the pedestrian was walking when the crash happened. The line of travel of the vehicle–which has not been described–is also not known.
Responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived to help, but the victim died at the crash site.
The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The driver’s identity has also not been reported.
Investigators are working to understand the crash, and the circumstances that were involved.
