Nicole Valdes-Cortez Struck and Killed in Malibu
MALIBU, CA (December 10, 2021) – Early in the morning on Thursday in Malibu, a woman was struck and killed on Pacific Coast Highway. The victim was identified as Nicole Valdes-Cortez, a resident of Los Angeles, 27 years old.
No details have been reported on the circumstances of the crash, which occurred close to Busch Drive.
The time was roughly 6:30 a.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
A vehicle–described only as a truck–hit Valdes-Cortes. Responders arrived and pronounced her deceased at the crash site.
The identity of the person who had been driving the truck has not been reported.
Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened, and they are continuing to collect information and details.
