Man Walking on State Route 94 in San Diego is Struck and Killed
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 4, 2022) – Late at night on Sunday in San Diego, a man who was walking on State Route 94 was struck and killed. The April 3 crash occurred on the westbound side of the roadway, close to where 28th Street is located.
The time was roughly 10:58 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Authorities received reports of a pedestrian in the number 1 lane of the roadway, and reports say a person who witnessed the crash heard a man yelling that a vehicle hit him.
Responders worked to give medical help to the man, but he died at the crash site.
His identity, including name, age, and city of residence, have not been reported.
The driver involved in the crash has not been identified, and it is not known if the person remained at the scene.
Investigators are continuing their work on the incident.
