SAN DIEGO, CA (July 1, 2022) – On Thursday night in San Diego, a crash in the Mission Valley West area injured a pedestrian. The June 30 crash occurred on Hotel Circle South.
The time was roughly 9:30 p.m., Robert Heims said. Heims is an officer with San Diego Police.
According to authorities, a vehicle–described as a Honda CRV–had been traveling on Hotel Circle South when the victim is alleged to have tried to run across the road.
Authorities allege the victim dashed in front of the oncoming Honda, and it struck him.
Responders transported the patient to a local hospital. He suffered injuries that include a skull fracture and brain bleed, and a broken collar bone.
He was identified only as 55 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The driver was identified only as 30 years old. His name and city of residence have also not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.
