LONG BEACH, CA (April 21, 2022) – Late at night on Wednesday in Long Beach, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed a woman. The April 20 crash occurred close to where Harbor Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway intersect.

The time was roughly 11:30 p.m., Bradford Stein said. Stein is a sergeant with Long Beach Police.

No details have been reported on how the crash happened. Responders arrived to help, but the victim died at the crash site.

Her identity–including name, age, and city of residence–has not been reported.

The person who was driving the vehicle abandoned it on Santa Fe Avenue and fled the area, reports say.

Investigators are searching for the suspect driver, who has not been described. They are continuing to collect information and details, and looking for video that might have been recorded of the crash by a surveillance camera.
