BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 14, 2022) – The pedestrian who was killed in a Bakersfield crash on Monday night was identified by the Kern County coroner’s office as Kevin Bernard Myers. Myers was a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 55 years old.

The January 10 crash occurred on Buck Owens Boulevard in the 3200 block.

The time was roughly 8:57 p.m., Bakersfield Police said.

Responders arrived and found the victim down on the road at the crash site. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to reports, the victim went across the road not within a crosswalk when a vehicle struck him.

The driver has not been identified in reports.

Investigators are continuing to work on the crash. If anyone has information about the incident, the person can contact Bakersfield Police.
