LOS ANGELES, CA (June 22, 2021) – On Sunday night, a pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Los Angeles. The June 20 crash occurred in the area of Boyle Heights, at 1606 S. Grande Vista Avenue.

The time was roughly 10:46 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The man had been walking across the road, and a vehicle–which has not been described–struck him. The driver did not stay at the crash site to help the victim, but fled the scene.

Responders arrived and pronounced the victim deceased at the crash site. He was identified only as 62 years old, and homeless. His name has not been reported.

Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run crash, and the suspect driver, who has not been described.
