Fresno, CA - Victims Killed In a Double Fatal Crash Near Lassen and Nielsen Avenue

Fresno, CA (June 9, 2018) – According to local police officers two men heading home from work died in a fatal crash. The collision occurred Friday afternoon, June 9th, around 3:30PM. The crash happened near Lassen and Nielsen Avenue when the two men, for unknown reasons, failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into another driver. The Impact of the crash flipped the SUV over killing the two men inside. The driver in the other car was a woman who only sustained minor injuries but was transported to the Community Regional Center to be treated by personnel. The men fatally killed in the collision were identified as 34-year-olds, one by the name of Juan Rivera and the other Jose Garcia. Police Officers reported that they were co-workers heading home from working on the farm before the collision occurred. No additional information has been released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
