Firefighters Injured at Scene of Crash in Ontario

Ontario, CA (December 6, 2018) – 4 fighters were injured after reporting to a crash the morning of Thursday December 6th. The incident took place at around 9:30 a.m. on the 15 freeway in Ontario. Firefighters were attending patients of the first collision on the northbound 15 freeway near the 10 freeway when a second crash occurred sending vehicles into the scene. The vehicles skid directly into them injuring the firefighters leaving 8 injured. 2 of the firefighters were treated on the scene and another 2 were transferred to a hospital with moderate injuries, the 2 with fewer injuries had seen the vehicles headed for them and were able to jump over the center median. The other 2 weren’t able to get out the way in time and were hit by one of the vehicles. Both of those firefighters have been released after being treated a local Hospital. There were at least 4 Sedans were involved in the accident. One of the cars sides had been caved in and another’s cars bumper was hanging off. There were broken pieces of glass and metal that covered the wet pavement. How many civilians were hurt is still unstated.
