Emmanuel Elizalde Identified as Man Killed in Lemon Grove Crash
LEMON GROVE, CA (July 26, 2022) – Emmanuel Elizalde was identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office as the man who was hit and killed earlier this month in Lemon Grove. The July 17 crash occurred on State Route 94, close to State Route 125 and to the east of it.
Reports say that according to authorities, Elizalde had parked along the road’s shoulder and left lane.
He exited the vehicle, for reasons that are not known, and was walking on the shoulder.
According to officials, a driver–who was trying to miss hitting the stopped vehicle–hit Elizalde.
Responders arrived to help, but Elizalde died at the crash site. He was 26 years old.
The driver has not been identified in reports.
Investigators are continuing their work on the crash.
