Eleven DUI Arrests Made at Fresno Area Checkpoints

The Fresno police department made eleven arrests for driving under the influence throughout the Fresno and Visalia area on Saturday and Sunday of the weekend.

The checkpoint in Fresno was set up between Fresno and Barstow avenues in northeastern Fresno. Fifteen vehicles were also impounded because their drivers did not have a proper driver’s license or they were driving under the influence.

Two people were arrested in Visalia at a DUI checkpoint in between Dinuba Boulevard and Vine Avenue.

Police issued at 14 citations for driving without a license and one more for driving with a suspended license. One vehicle was towed.
