Robert Schwehr, 68, was hit by a car last week and died. He was a 44 year resident of Los Atlos. The family was “devastated” by the death. He will be sorely missed.

Schwehr was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and Stanford University. He was an electrical engineer for Hewlett-Packard.

Scwehr was walking in a crosswalk at Charleston Rd and Independence Avenue.

He was taken to the hospital in critical condition. He died from his injuries on February 18, 2015.

The driver was leaving a shopping center when he turned east on Charleston Rd. and hit Schwehr.

The driver was cooperative and stayed at the scene.

Alcohol and drugs do not appear to have been a factor in the accident.

Schwehr enjoyed hiking with Kiley Riffel, his daughter. They also liked fly casting. He was a boy scout  troop leader, a member of the fly fisher club, and frequented the local senior center.

Riffel stated her gratitude that the Mountain View Police Department are working hard to reduce pedestrian accidents.

Schwehr is mourned by his family, friends, and loved ones.Beaumount accident lawyer
