Drunk Mother Injures Two Children in Car Accident
A woman from Costa Mesa was accused of drunk driving and crashing her car, injuring two of her children. She faces charges of driving under the influence, willful cruelty to a child, and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, according to police.
At 8 p.m. on Saturday, police received reports of a suspected drunk driver. However, before they reached the scene, the car swerved into oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle.
There were three children in the vehicle with their mother and two of them were injured in the crash and taken to the hospital.
