Soulsbyville, CA (December 7, 2018) – A Soulsbyville resident suffered major injuries and is facing charges of felony drunk driving after he crashed a cement-mixer truck he was driving Friday morning December 7th. Steve Sullivan, 48-years old, had just left a construction site and was driving a 2005 Peterbilt cement-mixer truck west on Highway 120 east of Buck Meadows in Mariposa County. Due to his intoxication, the California Highway Patrol said, he allowed the truck to veer over the north asphalt curb on the highway and onto a dirt shoulder. Once Sullivan realized he was no longer on the road, he steered to the left toward a steep embankment on the south shoulder of the highway. He then steered right, causing the mixer to overturn across the eastbound lane and part of the westbound lane. Although he was wearing his seatbelt, he still suffered major injuries and was transported to Adventist Health in Sonora. He had been arrested but released to the hospital for treatment.
