Crash on Highway 99 in Bakersfield Kills Pedestrian
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 16, 2022) – On Tuesday in Bakersfield, a crash on Highway 99 killed a pedestrian. The September 13 crash occurred near Rosedale Highway and to the south of it.
According to reports, a vehicle–described as a Subaru–had been heading northbound on Highway 99. For reasons that are not known, authorities allege that a pedestrian walked into the lanes that head north.
The Subaru struck the pedestrian.
Responders pronounced the person deceased at the crash site. The identity of the person–including name, age, gender, and city of residence–has not been reported.
The driver stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the investigation. The driver has also not been identified.
