COMPTON, CA (September 29, 2021) – Three vehicles–including a school bus–collided early in the morning on Tuesday in Compton. Two people were injured in the September 28 crash, which occurred where 132nd Street and Avalon Boulevard intersect.

The time was roughly 6:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

No details have yet been reported on how the crash occurred, the sequence of each vehicle’s involvement in the crash, nor the line of each vehicle prior to crashing.

The two other vehicles have not been described.

Responders from the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived to help. Responders transported two people to the hospital.

The types of injuries the patients suffered, and their current condition, are not known. The identities of the people, including their names, ages, genders, and cities of residence, have not been reported.

Reports do not say what vehicle the injured people had been traveling in. According to reports, the patients had not been traveling on the school bus.

It is not known if students were on the bus when the crash happened. None of the drivers, including the school bus driver, has been identified.

Investigators are working to understand the incident.
