NORWALK, CA (March 17, 2022) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in Norwalk, a car veered off the 105 Freeway and smashed into a home, causing major damage. The March 16 crash occurred where Studebaker Road and Borson Street intersect.

The time was roughly a little after 2:00 a.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

A car, which had been traveling on the 105 Freeway eastbound, went off the roadway at the offramp for Studebaker Road. The car smashed through a brick wall and into a house that is vacant, causing significant damage.

The crash also disrupted power to roughly 200 customers of Southern California Edison.

Responders from the Los Angeles County Fire Department transported two people who had been traveling in the car to the hospital. The condition of one of the patients was described as critical.

The identity of the person has not been reported.

According to the Fire Department, one of the patients is a minor.

Investigators are working to understand the crash.
