Uber Fined $7.3 Million

Uber was fined $7.3 million for refusing to disclose information to California regulators.

Uber, it is reported, has disclosed the required information in other states.

Requested information included data on disabled-accessible vehicles, causes of accidents, etc.

A representative from Uber said the company will appeal the ruling.

The California Public Utilities Commission is investigating the treatment of low income communities, intercultural communities and public safety in addition to wheel chair access.

Many persons who used to take taxis now ride the Uber.

Uber is valued at $40 billion as a company. Uber has negotiated in other locations such as Portland, Oregon and France.
