RIVERSIDE, CA (January 7, 2022) – Riverside Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver who killed Riley Froom in November, and they are asking for the public’s help. The November 16, 2021 crash occurred close to where Monroe Street and Indiana Avenue intersect.

The time was roughly 5:50 p.m., Riverside Police said.

According to police, Froom was not walking within a crosswalk when a vehicle hit him. The driver did not stop to help the victim, but fled the scene of the crash.

Responders arrived and transported Froom to a hospital in the area. He died in the hospital.

Froom was a resident of Riverside, 67 years old.

Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run crash, which was described as possibly a Nissan Altima, white in color.

Police are also searching for the suspect hit-and-run driver.
