A pedestrian that was crossing Beach Boulevard was hit by at least two vehicles and later pronounced dead by Huntington Beach officials.

The accident occurred at about 11:20 p.m. on Sunday near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Ellis Avenue, a Huntington Beach Police Department spokesperson said.

According to records, the driver of a 1988 Oldsmobile Tornado sedan hit the 64-year-old man while traveling in the southbound lanes. The pedestrian was then hit by a 2008 Ford Ranger pickup while he was lying on the ground.

The man has not yet identified and will not be, until police notify the next of kin.

Both drivers cooperated with officers and no arrests or citations have been issued at this time.
