Minivan Driver Has Seizure, Crashes into Bus Stop
The driver of a Ford Windstar suffered from a seizure while driving in Costa Mesa and crashed the vehicle into a bus stop bench, according to authorities.
The accident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. at the 2300 block of Harbor Boulevard, according to the Costa Mesa Police Department.
Officials had to remove the driver from the vehicle because the driver had fallen unconscious due to a previous medical condition that triggered the seizure.
The driver suffered from minor injuries related to the crash. They were transported to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.
No one was at the bus stop at the time of the crash.
