Man Dragged Under Car in Auto-Pedestrian Accident

An elderly man was dragged under a car in a deadly hit-and-run accident in Fontana on Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred in the 13800 block of Arrow Highway near an apartment complex called Fontana Gardens.

Dennis Kelly Timms, 61, was attempting to cross the street to go to a convenience store when he was hit.

The victim crossed the street wearing dark clothing in an unmarked crosswalk.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman driving the vehicle has now been identified, according to police. She was driving a champagne-colored Lincoln Navigator.
