The crash was reported at about 11:50 a.m. just north of the Oso Parkway exit, the California Highway Patrol spokesperson said.

Apparently, the big-rig smashed into the rear of a Honda Accord as traffic slowed down. The Accord was then pushed forward into another vehicle.

A SigAlert was issued for the No. 3 and No. 4 lanes, and both lanes were closed for just over a half an hour while authorities investigated the scene of the crash.

It is unclear if anyone was hurt in the crash, but an ambulance did arrive at the accident site.

The lanes reopened at 1 p.m.
