HESPERIA, CA (July 26, 2021) – Craig Sale was identified by the coroner’s office as the victim who was killed in a crash in Hesperia on Thursday. The July 22 crash involved a 14-year-old boy who was driving a vehicle.

According to reports, the boy had been driving a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV. He went through a stop sign without stopping, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The Chevrolet collided with two vehicles, described as a Kia Sportage and a Honda Civic. Sale had been the driver of the Kia.

Responders transported him to the hospital, where he died. Sale was a resident of Hesperia, 59 years old.

The driver of the Honda has not been identified. It is not known if the person was hurt in the crash.

The 14-year-old boy has not been identified, and investigators are working to learn why he was driving. The boy’s parents have not been identified.

The investigation is continuing.
