CHP Patrol Car Rear Ended

The patrol car of the California Highway Patrol was rear ended when it was leaving the scene of an accident Wednesday night.

The officer was investigating an accident on I 580 at Marina Bay Parkway.

The officer was flown to a local hospital after the accident to be treated for his injuries.

Alternative routes were indicated for the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge.
