Two people were killed and a third wounded in a car-to-car shooting at about 10:05 p.m. Friday on Figueroa and 86th Street. Another person was found shot to death around the same time on Main Street and 108th Street.

Police aren’t elaborating on what exactly happened

Detectives believe the two shootings may be related, but didn’t say why.

The shooting victims found on Figueroa Street were described as two men and a woman in their 20s. The car they were sitting in was parked in the 8600 block when they were struck by gunfire, according to M. Mason of the Southeast station of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene while the condition of the third victim was not known, said Mason.

The man found on Main Street, described to be in his 30s, was also found in a vehicle and shot dead, said Mason.

Police would not publically say why they believe the two shooting are related. No other information regarding the events that transpired are known at this time. Police are investigating and are asking anyone with information to contact them. No suspects have been identified.
