BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 4, 2022) – Investigators with the California Highway Patrol are seeking help from the public to find the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed Angel Berumen. The 16 year old was killed in Bakersfield on January 25.
Angel Berumen was struck on Niles Street at Brentwood Drive.
The time was roughly 5:45 to 6:38 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Authorities said a car–described only as red–struck and killed Angel Berumen. The driver fled the crash site.
Investigators are searching for the vehicle involved, and the suspect driver, who has not been described.
