The police received reports of a crash at about 11:55 p.m. on Thursday that involved at least two vehicles at the intersection of Jamboree Road and Chapman Avenue.

Witness said that a gray Honda Civic was traveling north on Jamboree when it hit a green Toyota Corolla that was in the intersection on the westbound side of Chapman.

Angel Fernandez, the driver of the Corolla, died at the scene.

The driver of the Civic suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Investigators believe that one of the vehicles may have run a red light.
